A chef’s table in Marylebone

It may not quite feel like it, but Christmas is just over 6 weeks away! Don’t panic, we are here to help. If you are looking to arrange a special event or a family gathering we may have the thing for you. Why not consider booking a Chef’s Table experience at one of Marylebone’s leading restaurants?

In recent years it has become a growing trend for top restaurants to offer a Chef’s Table dining experience – a small table for 4-10 people ‘up close to the action’, so that you can see the hustle and bustle, sights, smells and tastes of the world’s best kitchens.

Depending on the restaurant the chef may tailor the menu to your tastes and even give you a tour of the ‘engine room’. If you don’t quite want to be in the kitchen, some restaurants have slightly larger spaces available in a private room with an adjoining window from which to view or overlook the kitchen.

The Chef’s Table concept is becoming increasingly popular in restaurants across London, many holding Michelin Stars. A local opportunity to experience this can be found at The Montagu situated inside The Churchill Hotel. The Chef’s Table seats five to nine people with a five course dinner using the best seasonal ingredients at £75 per head.

If you are looking for somewhere guaranteed to deliver something special, the nearby local favourite Locanda Locatelli is a must. The famous Italian family-run restaurant run by Giorgio and Plaxy Locatelli which is now open again following a £1m refurbishment has the addition of a semi-private dining room which would provide a slightly lower key experience.

To complete the list, Andre Balazs’s much renowned Chiltern Firehouse and hotel at 1 Chiltern Street that opened in February this year, offers ‘Counter Dining’. This is a more intimate experience, just for two people, to sit at the counter overlooking the kitchen that in total sits eight behind a small glass screen. This is definitely the place to be seen and you can fully expect the paparazzi to be waiting for you outside.

We can’t think of a better way to entertain your customers, partners, friends or even to treat yourselves this festive season. Enjoy!
