New for 2018, the award-winning Gin Journey tours will now include a stop at 108 Bar in The Marylebone Hotel, where super-premium Marylebone Gin is distilled.
Every Saturday from 13th January 2018, guests on The Gin Journey will visit 108 Bar to find out more about the history of Marylebone Gin, which comes from The Pleasure Gardens Distilling Company – London’s most central spirits distillery, with a history dating back eight generations to 1762.
Marylebone Gin harks back to this era, by utilising the floral botanicals associated with the Pleasure Gardens. Distilled in batches in a tiny copper pot, Marylebone is an overproof spirit at 50.2%, with an unrivalled balance, complexity and depth that comes from its blend of 13 botanicals including camomile, grapefruit and lime flower.
108 Bar is one of five stops on The Gin Journey tour that promises guests sumptuous cocktails, craft gins, the best bars, history with humour, a sleek gin carriage and inspiring distillery visits – all hosted by expert Gin Guardians.
Leon Dalloway says: “We’re delighted to be including Marylebone Gin in our updated gin tour as it’s a liquid which is savoured by staunch gin aficionados. Come and join us, it will be like the best history lesson you never had!”
The Gin Journey will run every Saturday from 2pm to 6.30pm, with a chauffeur-driven Mercedes minibus carrying guests between venues.
