The Green Party has announced their candidate for Marylebone’s upcoming by-election as Hugh Small.

Mr Small, who grew up on Marylebone’s Harley Street, is a former partner in a global management consulting firm where he led a team modernising and regulating public telecommunications networks.

He claims to have joined the Green Party because their economic policies seemed closest to what he experienced in industry – Mr Small also runs a ‘political economy’ blog that can be read at: www.matureeconomy.org.

Passionate about the local area and currently a resident close to Montagu Square, Mr. Small said ‘I am delighted to be chosen to contest Marylebone High Street of which I have many fond childhood memories going back to the 1950s and which has become a jewel in London’s crown’.

The by-election will take place on 2nd May 2013 – Marlyebone-London.co.uk will of course be covering all the action.
