Following the retirement from the council of Harvey Marshall, Labour candidate Nik Slingsby will be delivering his election message to residents in the Marylebone High Street ward this weekend.

Labour’s Nik Slingsby, who grew up in Marylebone and is currently a local resident of Marylebone’s Harrowby Street, is keen to tackle a range of community issues – these include the decision to sell Moxon Street car park to the highest bidder, the future of the Luxborough Street children’s play area and the Mayor’s decision to close Marylebone Police Station.

Slingsby said of his campaign to become the next local councillor,

“Westminster Conservatives have been in power for too long and they regularly dismiss residents’ concerns. This by-election is your opportunity to say that residents’ concerns should be heard and not ignored. You, the residents come first, not big business.”

The by-election for the ward of Marylebone High Street will take place on 2nd May 2013.
