Marylebone tube station is set for a £200,000 revamp.
Capita have been appointed to upgrade the station as part of London Underground’s wider Tube station improvement programme. The programme is set to improve over 70 stations across the capital.
Capita technology director Simon Reeves said: “We have just commenced design mobilisation for Marylebone and, under this initial £204,000 project, will take the design to RIBA Stage F1, production information.
“Framework trade contractors will then be appointed to undertake the work, and we expect to have a continuing role, for an additional fee, to support the design delivery phase right up to handover to LUL.”
Marylebone Station acts as the gateway to the Chilterns and Oxfordshire and in the eyes of many commuters is long overdue a facelift.
