Nordic Bakery, the Scandinavian style premium coffee shop chain, is celebrating the cinnamon bun by selling a new flavoured cinnamon bun in the five days leading up to Cinnamon Bun Day on 4 October 2013.
The limited edition buns are made using the much loved bun dough and cinnamon recipe of its iconic buns, but feature a new twist.
Monday’s bun – cinnamon bun with raisins and lemon glaze
Tuesday’s bun – cinnamon bun with chocolate buttons
Wednesday’s bun – cinnamon bun with custard and almonds
Thursday’s bun – cinnamon bun with blueberries
Friday’s bun – cinnamon bun with apple
Cinnamon buns are Nordic Bakery’s biggest seller and have gained cult status in London. The recipe originates from a rustic home-style Finnish recipe that has been updated in London, whilst fans have described them as ‘eating a hug’ – the new limited edition buns promise a new interpretation to excite fans.
