Each time we hear of a new opening, we wonder if Marylebone’s food scene could get any better. Recent months have seen the opening of Chiltern Firehouse and Fischer’s, as well as the news that The Food Joint is on it’s way in October.
Now, opening in the old site of Samarqand at 18 Thayer Street, comes Pachamama. Operated by Creative Restaurant Group with ex-Ottolenghi head chef Tom Catley in the kitchen, Pachamama is set to offer “Peruvian inspired, modern British dining”.
Diners can expect to find “dishes that reflect the spectrum of influences in Peruvian cuisine using the finest of locally-sourced, seasonal British produce dishes that reflect the spectrum of influences in Peruvian cuisine using the finest of locally-sourced, seasonal British produce.”
Pachamama is set to seat 120 with 3 private dining rooms in an atmosphere that feels like the faded colonial home of an eccentric Peruvian family.
We’re already looking forward to a Pisco cocktail at the bar.
