Coffee Shop Review: Workshop Coffee

So this week we looked to Workshop Coffee Marylebone on Wigmore Street for our caffeine fix. With it bucketing down outside and a real Monday morning fever in full swing, we were desperate for something to kick start this week.

It is all about the quality of the coffee at Workshop. Workshop is not just a cafe – they source and roast their coffee beans too. Roasted down the road in Clerkenwell where they opened in April 2011, a Marylebone coffee shop followed soon after in August of the same year.

As you might expect, the coffee is both rich and balanced and comes served with a glass of sparkling water to cleanse the palette both before and after – this place stinks of caffeine sophistication. Also sporting a small range of sandwiches and pastries, the almond croissant did the job but was no match for the coffee. The smallish and simply decorated interior with stools, lots of wooden finishes and not much more but is perfect for both a long coffee pit-stop or a grab-and-go.

We doubt you will find a better Flat White in town – if you like your coffee and you’re in Marylebone, get down to Workshop – if you know anything about coffee you quite possibly already have. You can by roasts at the shop and can also order from the dispensary. We’ll be going back.
