Review: Souli Food

Having opened last month on George Street you would have thought we should have posted about Souli already. All I can say is that my only excuse for not having written this sooner is that I have kept going back. Homely and rustic, it is a great distraction for a coffee break or a snack on the go.

Lunchtime does not get much better in Marylebone. It is all about the sandwiches at Souli – great ingredients and all put together on site with locally baked artisan bread. You can buy a half or a whole, or in my case a half and a whole… If you are feeling good you can choose from a range of salads and soups, but don’t miss out on the selection of pastries as well.

It is no surprise that Souli has been such a hit. Created by Hella Souli, the shop is based on her well-travelled food experiences and pursuit for great food. This is evidenced in her choice of coffee – Sant’Eustachio from Rome is worth a trip in itself.
