As I sit and write this post from a very grey and rainy Marylebone it looks like this time summer might really have ended. Nonetheless, we’ve got everything you need for a busy weekend in our great capital, regardless of the rain!
London’s festival of meat and BBQ takes place on Saturday 7th September at the Tobacco Docks, E1. Some of the biggest names and chefs will be there to provide a range of meaty dishes for visitors – including Sam Daffin of Marylebone’s own BBQWhiskyBeer, who also recently led BBQWhiskyBeer to a win at Ribstock for their (you guessed it), ribs. Tickets available online.
The Mayor’s Thames Festival takes place between 6th-15th September and ‘is set to stage an inspiring 10-day celebration of London’s iconic river through art, music, and educational events both on the water and along its banks and bridges.’ From floating art fairs to 600 strong children’s choirs, there is sure to be something for everyone!
Why not finish off the weekend with a visit to the wonderful Battersea Dogs & Cats Home for their annual reunion on Sunday 8th September? The event offers games and food for both 2 legged and 4 legged friends. No doubt a fantastic day out for children and a great opportunity to support a worthy cause.
