Coming to Marylebone in December is an exciting new exhibition all about Havana, Cuba. Curated by actress Charity Wakefield, the exhibition is an opportunity to share in the collective experience of filming Day of the Flowers in the city.
The exhibition gives a unique insight into the film making process – and into the artistic endeavor behind the cinematography. Many of the photos are Wakefield’s own work, exploring the process from the inside and uncovering the stories, people and places encountered by the cast and crew. The photos (selected from submissions from the entire film team) are powerful and the stories attached are touching.
Day of the Flowers is due for release on 29th November in UK Cinemas. Charity appears alongside Eva Birthistle, Carlos Acosta, Christopher Simpson and Bryan Dick. Irrespective of the film the photos are a chance to get a feel for both Cuba and the stories behind those shooting on location.
The exhibition runs 4th-8th December only at 35 Marylebone High Street. Entry is free between 11am – 7pm daily.
