A Witches Brew Cocktail Competition: The Competitors

The first round of Marylebone’s Babicka Cocktail Competition ‘A Witches Brew’ begins on Wednesday 1st April at Cocochan. With an exciting line up of some of Marylebone’s most renowned bars taking part, we’re looking forward to tasting the no doubt impressive cocktails that will be prepared.

Here is the lineup for the first evening:

Cocochan (host)

Cocochan Marylebone

Cocochan barman Andrea Caglioti

Hosting the event is Cocochan, a pan asian restaurant and bar a stones throw from Selfridges on Marylebone’s James Street. Serving an eclectic mix of Thai, Chinese, Japanese and Indian dishes, Cocochan has something for everyone.

Cocochan’s barman Andrea Caglioti has developed his mixology skills in bars across London, including Massis and Bam Bou. After a period in Thailand where he opened a restaurant, Caglioti returned to London and oversees Cocochan’s bar and lounge.

Reform & Social Bar at The Mandeville Hotel

Reform Social & Grill Marylebon

Reform Social & Grill Bar at The Mandeville Hotel

The Reform & Social at The Mandeville Hotel offers a typically British experience, taking its inspiration from classic British gentlemen’s clubs.

Situated on Mandeville Place, Reform Social & Grill offers classic British dishes, along with classic British cocktails served in a bar that has an air of both sophistication and informality.

We’re still yet to visit but Reform & Social is high up on our hit list.

SamarQand Marylebone

The lounge area at SamarQand, Marylebone.

SamarQand is a fairly unique restaurant on the Marylebone restaurant scene in that it specialises in Central Asian cuisine.

With food from as far a field as Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan & Russia, SamarQand’s speciality Central Asian dish ‘SamarQand Plov’ is a favourite with visitors. We’re certainly looking forward to trying their cocktail!
