Maryleone Gardens, the former home of BBC London, has been sold to property developers for £75 million.
The prominent site on Marylebone High Street has been purchased by luxury property development group Royalton, making it the group’s second major London project and a change from their usual Surrey and Berkshire home developments.
The building was occupied by BBC London until 2009 when it relocated to Broadcasting House with former owner Scottish Widows Investment Partnership more than doubling their money since its purchase in 2011.
The plans have been compared to the Candy Brothers’ hyper-luxury One Hyde Park development in Knightsbridge and is one of many luxury developments appearing in Marylebone, including the The Chilterns and the recently proposed Moxon Street car park development.
