Coffee Review: Patisserie Valerie

patisserievalerieWinter is upon us and coffee has become even more of a necessity. So getting off at Marble Arch tube station there was only one option in the dark this morning – Patisserie Valerie on Great Cumberland Place.

We were in a bit of a rush so we had to grab a quick takeaway. The great thing about Patisserie Valerie is its consistency – whether you’re visiting the cafe on Marylebone High Street, at Marylebone Station or on Great Cumberland Place, a great cappuccino is always going to be the end result. The location on Great Cumberland Street is bright and airy. Serving breakfast and lunch there is always a steady stream of customers – thanks also to its outdoor seating area when the weather is just a little brighter than it was today.

Beyond the draw of the outdoor seating, the other main attraction is the food. The ‘patisserie’ in the ‘Patisserie Valerie’ offers a huge selection of cakes, muffins, biscuits and more. The chocolate muffin brightened the start to an otherwise gloomy day. From memory we can also tell you that the full English breakfast is worth a look.

A really consistent coffee and with the added extra of some great food you can find Patisserie Valerie cafes in various Marylebone locations.
